JAMB Releases First Batch of 2019 UTME Results, See How To Check Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has finally released the results of 1,792,719 candidates who sat for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Similarly, the board had withheld the results of 34,120 for various infractions.
JAMB Registrar, Prof Is-haq Oloyede broke the news to reporters on Saturday in Abuja, the nation’s Capital.
2019 UTME candidates can now check their results.
These are the steps that can help you with some of the procedures you may require to check your result.
INSTRUCTIONS:
All candidates can simply send RESULT, via SMS, to 55019 using the same number that was used for registration.
After entering the information correctly, the result, would be replied as an SMS shortly after.
About 1,792,719 candidates sat for the exams, while 34,120 candidates had their results withheld for examination malpractice.
The Registrar of the board, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, who made the announcement in Abuja on Saturday also stated that 15,145 results were withheld for further clarification.
He said, for the 2019 UTME, 1,886,508 candidates registered including those who registered at the foreign centres.
“Out of this number, which excludes the Direct Entry candidates, 59,667 were absent. A total of 1,826,839 sat the UTME. Today, we are releasing the results of 1,792,719 candidates.
“Some 34,120 results are being withheld including the results of 15,145 candidates being further clarified as identical twins and siblings” Professor Oloyede added.
